Do any of us really know who we are?

I am just a guy trying to get by, like every other person out there, trying to make ends meet. I have been on Social Security Disability since my last accident, which happened at a Major Fast Food Chain. In Las Vegas NV In late December 1997. When I re-injured my back already fused; from an injury nine months earlier. And Then My Third Back Surgery took place.

Things got worst, my wife filed for divorce and ended up leaving me. My Mother several uncles and a cousin died. I should correct myself I didn’t start getting Social Security Disability until  the year of 2000 round about March. Yes things were hard and I was getting a little crazy, but hey that’s life or a version of it.

True I am a slow learner, but it’s time for a change.

So here I am again trying to get back up and start walking on my own two feet. I will be trying different INTER-Net ideas and jobs such as Clickbank, Google Adsense, and some Affiliate Programs to start with. Maybe I’ll try eBay again.

But, the first time I was buying and selling on eBay.com was back in the year 2000.

So I bet it has changed a lot since then.

So more about me, I have three great kids and a friend here and there.

I have distance myself from them or they from me, or almost everyone associated with my past.I was never the kind of person who is too close. I don’t know why, you really have to be around me all the time or your not. I am a loner  type of guy, I guess?Yes that is what you would call it. I don’t really click with to many people all that well. I guess my ex-wife felt that the hardest, after my third back surgery.

A hard hit for me, my divorce.

So I was trying different things, to try and get over that (My divorce).  I joined a Pool League at the local bar and a Dart League, and of course I drank some, not as much as most, but enough to get lost in my situation. Which naturally got better for a minute and then right back to worse.

I took a five hour course on the internet and some of the money making ideas that were going around back in 2001 or so.

I then got the bright idea to sell Leather Goods online. So I invested a little money with Yahoo Sitebuilder and their business plan. (A Web Hosting Program). I got a Tax Id and built a store, with over four hundred and fifty different Items in it. This took me about two months only because I invested a lot of time and effort night and day until it was done. More than eight hours a day for that two month period. Now this includes getting the accounts, setting up thepages, filing the DBA, filing the Tax Id, etc. etc. Now most of this, it can be done On-Line. But still I needed to find a product to sell and then a true whole seller and not a middle-man!

Which there are hundreds of if not thousands out there these middle men. So this took about five or six hours and a lot of reading. Now there are those out there who claim it is not hard work to start an On-line business and for some one who loves to read, and comprehends with out any trouble technical jargon and Html. Merchant Systems and their setting up, then it’s a snap. All though these things are a little over whelming at first, they are soon mastered.

           
The important things to remember are 1, 2, 3's and the A, B, C’s 

I mean, things need to be done before you even start and in a certain order.

First and foremost the best anti-virus and firewall you can afford, that’s software, but there is also a hard firewall which if I would of have I’d already have a Thriving On-line Business, but I did not.

So the very first time I was open to receive funds, I was Hacked!

About an hour after I had open the store for the first time to receive funds. Some one actually took control of my home computer, not the server, but my home computer and wiped out most of my files. And they were able to over ride the restart and off buttons.

So I had to physically unplug the computer from the wall. 

Now I can testify that this can and does actualy happen. I learned the hard way! There are evil people with a lot of time on there hands, who push the fine lines of playing around and stealing, to plain out destroying others work and dreams. 

           
This is a good world with bad people in it, so protect yourself and your work and the privacy of your customers. True the programs in place today, verse those of eight years ago are better, but so are the hackers and thieves. That is because there is tons and tons of money flowing threw these hard wires and air waves, billions if not trillions of US and foreign currency.

The simpler your Site is the better, my first store was a rather large On-line store for ITS time. I had every page linkable to the others and there was about fifty links to other websites, which I was affiliated with. A big money machine and traffic system was in place, but It never got the chance to fly, because I didn’t back up the Store. I didn’t have the disk space on my system at the time.

As I said it was a large Store for 2003.

So I did the wrong thing, I lost my focus and got discouraged. I still had a little money left so I talked myself out of trying to make money on the Inter-Net. And I tried to sell things at the local bars. I sold some things, but it was hard and the people always wanted everything dirt cheap. Because the area was in a recession. You can’t run a business out of your car to well. True it can be done, but the time involved is not apparent to the layman and he soon becomes discouraged. I had other things to do. I didn’t date or go out unless it was on a League Night.

Other than that I’d stay up all night listen to sad songs. While I soaked my sorrows away, in My Hot Tub. I did this as often as I could, about three to four times a day (Man I truly do miss my Hot Tub) and then I'd walk down to the local bar, shoot a couple games of pool and close the bar down, with the nightly bartenders. I was there so often, that they eventually asked me to Captain a Pool Team or at least play on some of their teams, that play out of their bar. Which I did for the last eight years. I have played on at least one team, if not two or three teams and on three different nights. One for Valley and one for BCA and now for ACS. Pool Leagues and drinking were now my new things to do.

The other thing I didn’t do was a Market Research Search on my items, to see what it was, I should be trying to market On-line. Naturally I pick an item in the lower percentage, about the third lowest. For all the times I tried. I was still missing key steps. Not that this is a problem, if these are the things you love to do. And which I was doing then, drinking and shooting pool, but still you got to pay for the doing of them at least sometimes. (Hustler) pool shark Beware! No, I am very rusty now a days. I need to practice because it does make one perfect.

Now choosing something to Market or Sell in these lower percentage  groups or items. Is not all that big of a problem, IF you know, that you’ll have to do it better or cheaper than the many, many competitor’s, that are out there in your same exact field. So do a market search before you choose to sell anything On-line. You will do best if, you have a unique Item or Product. Third and most important find a place to get answers to your questions. Which will often times bring a lot more questions. And then just commit yourself to setting up the system that will almost run itself.

True there are a lot of systems promoted as an auto piloted system, but to my knowledge they still need to be built, maintained, check on, and updated. Which can become very hectic for us novices and truly hard on the beginner. Which I am still one, a “beginner” Because, I have given up so many times already, but darn it all to hell! I knew and know there is money to be made, maybe not the Million Dollar a quarter or a year, but some type of income. That will only grow as it becomes more and more noticeable On-line.
 
Now this is not to say, that you can sell crap for too long and expect to stay a float. Word of mouth can make or break you over night. I have live a very hectic life and the things that keep me from going crazy are just now starting up. That would be my pool league nights and my poetry writes and my short stories. I use to be a SCUBA diver a long time ago and I miss that dearly. So I am trying to get back to that too. So drop by ever now and then and check me and Sinbad out from time to time.
