What Makes a Web Site Popular?
Well I haven't quite figured that out just yet, but I am trying awfully
hard maybe to hard. I am not sure. I go to sites to find new and interesting things or old and familiar things,
so who can tell what will trip someone's trigger or float their boats. It could be about anything, at any one
time.
It might be just your style of writing,
that they find odd,particular, or entertaining.
Maybe you have some helpful information or you might be wording it and a way that others
can relate to it or haven't yet related to it.
It could be anything, at any given time. Look at some of the viralYouTube
videosthe Double Rainbow Guy, http://youtu.be/OQSNhk5ICTI here one day, gone the next. We humans are so easy to entertain, sometimes a hit to the gonads is all it takes to make
us laugh. Or it might be a simple little story that your Grandfather or Grandmother told you.
It could even be a heart wrenching situation that you have gone through,
yourself. And that some others are just starting too. Not any one site is going to be everything to everybody.
You and I will have to find ourselves a niche.
And then find a wayto drive the traffic to it.
But as we do this, we will want our monetary devices up and ready before we do, and if we
do, or when we do, go viral.
We will need
to plan to go viral. For that is our goal, to become viral, and to stay viral, or heavily visited daily.
I am still in the process of learning and will be for sometime
to come.
As will you be also, if you are to stay
up and ahead of the never ending an increasing, and increasing new comer's to the World Wide Web.
Note: the views on the
Double Rainbow guy's one video have hit well over 28,000,000 views plus he did it in under a years time. Then what income
did all the others make that then quickly picked up on this ternechal down pouring or out pouring of Traffic, to and around
this subject.
Some sites don't get
this many views in their first three years, some will never break a million in ten. Imagine being able to be ready and waiting
to go viral. And with all or many of your smaller streams leading back to your monitized sites.

all original content.
Made by me and not some

Not what every artist

Who is Sinbad the Sailor Man?
Well wouldn’t we all like to know, who we really are?
He is nobody special yet, at least not in the writing industry.
He is a divorced middle aged man, who has three great kids, one girl and two boys. He is a US Navy Veteran, a would
be Poet, a soon to be freelance writer, he
hopes.
He is a dyslectic,
he is a dreamer of dreams and an inventor of things, he is a decent pool player, a certified Advanced Open Water Diver, although he hasn’t dove since 1990 he
still holds, Certifications in Night Diving, DeepDiving, Search and Recovery Diving, and he is an Underwater Vehicle Specialist, an ex-welder, and a guy who likes to ride motorcycles.
He started
writing poetry way back in Night School. He started writing again, about six months after his divorce, from his wife of ten and a half years, his
first true love.
He has been writing off and on ever since.
He has had several Back Surgeries and others
most on his lower back though. He has been on Disability
for some time now. He has a very bad short term memory problem. Brought
on by almost nine years of prescription drug use, mostly pain killers.
He has bouts of depression from time to time. Among these annoying problems he has other small annoying ticks and clicks that keep
him from holding down any nine to five job,
for too long. He was a Semi Truck Driver for about five months, but then his eyes started to fail and now he has night blindness, so he can’t drive at night anymore.
He drove a taxi for a bout five months too, before his eyes got to bad to see at night. So he is back to writing and trying different Inter-Net Jobs, which he has not yet, mastered any of those
jobs yet, either.
There you
have it!
He is an average
guy. With no place to go, but up!
Because if he gets any lower, they’ll have to put him down and in the ground!
So Whats With All These Ads Dude?
Well I have only just started to work with this site again, on
July 3rd 2010
And I needed to fill out my pages, as I try to Earn Some Money to Support My Inter-net Habit.
And
as I increase my pages and theircontent, here and at my Blogsof three. And my publishersof three, along with Clickbank
and an Amazon affiliation. I needed stuff to fill my
pages up and out. As I had little ready and available content for this site. I use ads to help fill in the
empty spaces, until I could gather enough content to fill out the pages.
I am also increasing my foot print on the World Wide Web.
As I do this in several ways Social Net-working, Indexing sites, Book
marking sites and along with Adsesne, and an affiliation with Amazon.com and my three Pay Per Click Publishers now I have created
and grow at the same time everything together to create multiple income streams, which I'll be trying to initiate. By
using a Traffic wheel along with Tables of Content or TOC's
At the same time, I am also trying to self publish and promote my poems and
writes.
As I am re-learning my writing
and reading skills all over again.
For since I stopped
reading and writing way back whenever, I have lost a lot of these skills and the ability to use them correctly.
You may be able to tell that I am dyslectic, by my writes, but
if not I am.
Plus I have many different learning handicaps,
I must now overcome due to my long term prescription drug use.
For over a decade now and counting, I have been dealing with my Back Troubles and
for some time now my divorce and its problems.
So these ads and widgets and banners and the like are the vehicles or devices. That
Earn for me or will earn me the monies I need to support this
habit.
For God knows Social
Security alone ain't a gona cover it!
And hopefully one day
this will no longer be a habit, but a vehicle that in turns supports me.

But for some reason I thought I had this Blog up and running from day one. It was in my notes to do, but as I said before
I have certain disabilities that keep me from seeing the obvious mistakes.
Others can see them right away, but I see them rarely unless I am seeking
them out. And I see them as I think them if that makes any sense. For you it might not be there yet, but I see them there!

You may be wondering why I sign my pen name as often as I do.
It is content that the search engines counts and picks out to categorize this site
and me.
This is a signature sign off that I
use.
It is an SEO device, as well are My Pen Name
and this sites name, as it holds my Keywords within Its
title.
Donnie/Sinbad the Sailor Man and Donnie/Sinbad the Sailor Man
Are two totally different objects, because of the spacing between the forward slash and Sinbad.
This took me awhile to figure out, but once I knew this. I went and changed this, and
this one little change has increased some of my pages and articles finds by the different Search Engines.
Why?
Because with no space it is only one search term, but with the
space it became two search terms.
Also
when searching for a website it is easier to find them with no spacing, as in http:/www.sinbadthesailorman.com
leaving out the common http:/www.____. whatever
And using only the sites name or address. Why? sinbadthesailorman is one of my Key Words and write tags I
do not need to make it a meta tag because now it is well associated with me.
These Search Engines must give that grouping a higher standard of recognition,
because when I search which I do every week, to see what is being found.
I find the highest amount of pages with out the spacing for my Search Strings or Querries.
Also the Browsers you use the most, will automatically
find more of your pages. This is another reason to use all your browsers whenever you are working.
Try to slipt up your tasks and time between them.
I use three some times four different Browsers, Inter Explorer
and Firefox are my main browsers, Opera and Konqueror are my back up browsers.
By using these you also get an idea, of what your Website and Its pages will look like to your viewers.
I have several Operating Systems as well and
by the way Windows is the only I paid to get. Linux, Opensuse, Fedora,
Windows Xp, and its predecessors.
My Hope is to get however many used laptops needed to run these simultaneously
so I can switch freely from one to the other. Then I won't have to switch things around so much.
I am in the process of requiring these desk tops or laptops now, from
eBay. But then I'll need to re-licenses and restore these systems. For most of the ones I can
afford at the moment, require Operating Systems. I won one the other day
for about Sixty US Dollars.
